haven't gambled once, never had good skins either, haven't liked CS:GO since before I bought it, but I still want them to stop the gambling problem because the kiddies


and because it means that some people stop earning money from a (likely) easy job which consists of hosting a website and having a bunch of bots :^)

i already said why thats a load of bullshit since kids don't get money out of thin air and their parents have to approve of it in one way or another

but the whole bot thing? who the hell cares, they provide a service, and both kids and adults fall for it hook line and sinker

its like when you get a pop up from a random website telling you to install adobe / update adobe to view the image. you don't immediately click it because its a big fucking red flag that its malware / spyware since it didn't come from the official adobe website

gambling sites should be a HUGE RED FLAG for people who use them, especially when these websites run almost like real life casino's / lotteries. which means they always favour the house / owner and the chance of winning is so low you would get hit by two lightning bolts faster than you would win from gambling at these sites.

the csgolotto scam was probably one of the worst, it was straight up fraud

I'm more curious as to how it plays out. Don't get me wrong I partly agree with @swagile but at the same time the age brackets for that big site that was busted was composed of the dudes audience which was typically younger people.

That is actually quite rare. Most kids that play CS:GO don't have a real job so they get money from their parents.

valve shouldnt have to close the gambling sites, responsible people can use them responsibly and make actual money off it

kids should be monitored by their parents so they dont go on sites like these, and people who cant sustain it and lose too much money should fucking realise it and control themselves.

of course a policy like this is beneficial to valve since now the only allowed form of gambling is their bullshit cases
