hanks a lot, I've honestly been roleplaying for over 13 years and this is the FIRST TIME I have been OOCly scolded for not sitting in a VC

u shoulda brought this up 2 the faction heads tbh, i like this thread tho this rocks but these people are dorks and definitely get me away from playing civipro

new setting, new cops, new scenario,

same dorks thinking they're roleplaying for the same cause

I'm not a super of being in voice chat even for call outs, you won't find me in a VC unless I absolutely have to be there. It just ruins the RP, it's more enjoyable if I am able to dedicate my full attention to the thing that's happening ingame rather than having to listen to someone. The server is always strictly text based so I don't see the reason to change that, realistically if I wanted to be in voice I would be playing other servers or games. If I wanted to sweat and call things out in the most efficiently way possible, I'd just play competitive dust2.

For IC stuff, definitely no. Events and staff planning, yes it's good. I can see why you'd enjoy being in VC if the server was a bit more casual but the funny thing is that most of the people who do go on voice are RP sweats so I don't know how you can balance your concentration so neatly that you can focus on two things at the same time unless there is a lot of RP-related stuff and memes going on in voicechats that I'm missing out on.

I've tried it and I'll have people talking to me and asking me questions while I'm trying to do /me's, having two conversations at the same time lol it's cray
in ww3rp you could walk in to NATO base when there were 20 people online on NATO alone and most of them would just be standing in a circle or running around, hopping on eachothers' heads

they were all in discord chatting shit
it was so obvious when you weren't in discord lmao

yeah, but now we should not be doing that

this is not ww3rp, and people who play it like ww3rp should be discouraged from doing so

Like pepic said before

This is a RP server with S2K, not the other way around

There's a difference between struggling to let go of a mentality that was entirely understandable in a CityRP setting for 8+ years (where flooding rebels with guns and gear did have a negative impact) and trying to shame someone for not following that mentality now.

It shouldn't matter in a server like this where conflict happens and people die on all sides.

Also trying to say someone isn't fit for ascension because they don't unequip a stunstick or won't join VC is stupid af and there's no defending that lol

The Advisor looks at you and you feel your mind unravel like a spool of string. You seem to hang suspended in an empty void as your alien God sifts through your memories with as much care as you might flick through a second-hand library book.

Suddenly, it pauses. You feel piss run down your leg as a single memory is singled out and a wave of unnatural anger washes over you. The emotion is not yours.

You see your stunstick in the hands of a rebel, and recall how you had not put it in your backpack during a raid two weeks ago.

You know then, instantly, it has found you unworthy of becoming a transhuman.

You are fit only for death.

Yup, but apparently equipping grenades only when you use them is fine. That's something I fail to understand. That's essentially the same but in reverse, isn't it?
I tend to rp equipping and unequipping the grenades, the idea being I'm taking them out the pouch. I mostly keep them away so I don't accidently throw them lol

I got into the server also because of the limited supplies, keeping in mind the good stuff is something one has to actually earn, which is more likely for me to actually try to RP getting the things. As for ammo... It kinda sucks in my view, as some RP I would like to do (Practicing shots with fellow Metrocops) would become way harder to execute now, especially if what my lad gets affects everyone else. I tend to have weapons as passiveRP tools, or at least involve them in my ideas. Hell, I remember once having some marksmanship practice and a small competition WW3RP because we ICly (and OOCly) liked the sniper, even if the bullets were expensive as hell.

Only concern of myself is actually running out of guns and getting to miss out event stuff because I cannot have a weapon, even if it is crappy in the first place and I am not fond of just throwing my lad into a meatgrinder with some knife over there. So, if that actually addressed as to give everyone a fighting chance, then I am not complaining.

i think people are overreacting a bit

no one's gonna be stuck and unable to attend events because of no ammo...😢

This a Vault-Tec experiment.

Next month your food stock will be empty and you'll have to elect a fellow officer as your weekly meal.

hold on-

I'm pretty sure if we ran out of weapons and ammo staff would make us an event to retrieve some. I know it because that'd be the logical and optimal thing to do. Like I said, lack of supply means creating RP, and if I were admin I would jump on that opportunity to create content to solve an IC issue

This just in! Rebels have started FARMING! That's right, FARMING! No more war! Only potatoes and corn! The Combine has also started FARMING! They have given up their stunsticks in exchange for WATERING CANS! This is the new era of peace!

i kept getting told off on my cop for having a stunstick out

when i asked why ic'ly they were like "uhhh its bad", obviously the real reason is to stop rebels getting a stunstick (the deadliest weapon on the server)

fuck you im keeping my stunstick out
