Double it and give it to the next person
Tomorrow @Gary will announce

Sixth Person
- Vortigaunts now have the ability to sense the vortal presence of other living beings through solid objects and walls.

what was that one command cops had way back when, where they could do a sonar ping to see every combine unit in a radius?

remove third person during s2k and it'll solve so many problems at once
actually based take
holding a gun forces first person

tenser fights + no 3rd person peeking
also encourages people to stop running around with their guns out at all times

stops fights lasting literal hours too where you've got both sides watching the exact same spot but nobody can shoot each other cause they're just 3rd person peeking

That's not happening due to thirdperson, it's due to rebels always running into a zone which requires SD auths

theres a few issues with that counter-argument, namely that you, as the CPs, are granted the option to end the fight then and there by just not asking an SD for auth and letting the rebels retreat

You already retreated into the OOCly protected area, so what's the point in halting the retreat and shooting back at us? It only seems fair that we pop the OOCly protected bubble and fight fairly.

So you have never participated in an S2K scenario but you find yourself constantly commenting about it? The scenario I have described previously may not necessarily apply to you, but it most certainly does to certain rebels.

yes, because it affects my enjoyment of the server

prolonged roleplaying with people is near-impossible because eventually you get a radio call that "CPs are on the bridge" or something, and everyone runs off a quick 3-4 hour s2k fight and I'm left standing practically alone waiting for it to finish

Why not join the Soko Clinic and be a pacifist and help with treating the wounded I hardly see Soko fight with her weapons and she's always behind cover providing medical rp on the frontline without ever having to fire a shot unless it's in self defence.

That's a conscious choice of the rebels though.

its a choice that is made possible and almost always taken because of the rules and regulations of the server heavily encouraging it and minimizing penalties for rampantly engaging in shootouts

it feels like we went a step from "you don't get PK'd in S2K" to "you don't really lose anything in S2K" because lambda always provides a stimulus of items, and events give items, and people just hand out guns for free, and everyone is stocked to the gills so it doesn't matter if you get absolutely rolled, everyone will be locked and loaded in no time because they have to be because its a siege

it doesn't feel like S2K is a means to an end, it feels like S2K IS the end, and people just RP to pass the time while waiting for the next opportunity to start a shootout

and personally i don't find that fun regardless of faction affiliation or narrative set dressing

I fight a lot surprisingly,
The only reason you don't see me on the frontlines often is because i have the survivability of a grilled cheese

Objectively that's always been true - because to do anything less in this kind of setting (in general) will kill the concept dead unfortunately.

It feels like people have already forgotten the early Apoc era in regards to supply lines, when - putting the Combine's APC's aside and despite suffering massive losses - rebels being a series of groups rather than one unified mass with one pool of equipment let them bounce back from horrific losses in no time.

If you killed 30 cops in one engagment you'd cripple the faction's ability to respond to the conflict entirely. 30 rebels died and you still had more than enough geared rebels to keep slaughtering your average cop patrol.
