even though I admit that the US played a big role in shifting the war, its bold to say that they won it alone

For example, the defence of Greece during operation Marita forced Hitler to postpone Barbarossa for a year [and it's been proven so by German army documents] and thus landed him straight into Marshal Winters' folds. Other countries with active resistance cells over-exceeded original allied expectations and actually helped in cutting off vital German supply routes from Europe - Africa and from Europe to Eurasia

Can't we agree that if not for the US, the British and the Commie Russians then world war two would have never been won?

When you think on it, America wasn't in the best state to go to war due to economic and political problems from the Depression or even after it.
