i wouldnt be surprised if the exclusivity contract mandates they can only release it at full original price on platforms like steam even if its 12 months after anyone actually cares about it
aye that's why i said 'one to two years' cause if they do it at 60 bucks ill just wait for the steam sales

that is if they release it at all on steam, wouldnt be surprised that for games that are still carrying momentum a year after the original exclusivity contract ends they offer another few mill for a second year of exclusivity

Again, this is completely false. Epic Games did not pull any game from Steam, the publisher signed a deal with Epic Games for exclusivity; You can push this bullshit narrative all you want but I'll keep calling you out on blatant lies.
By signing a deal with someone for exclusivity, you inherently pull the game from any other platform.

The publisher signed a deal with Epic Games after they had already taken pre-orders on Steam, the Steam orders were fulfilled so they weren't screwed over. It's on the publisher and the studio for anyones disagreements with that happening. You're repeating a false narrative.
Except a lot of people who preordered it on steam just got it refunded, such as Life of Boris

Also I was talking about this with a friend and he sent me this as a response to why he prefers steam over epic, though I noticed it's a little outdated:

Honestly just ignore the bandwagon and get it from the Epic Store.

Right and you’re ignoring a key point because? You can’t blame Epic for a publisher choosing to take the deal.

It’s not really the same comparison, downloading another free launcher does not equate to spending £300+ on a new console for its exclusive games.

that's true but it's more about convenience, i want all my games to be on the platform i'm used to and i'm usually all up for new (better) platforms but epic's method of pushing their competition is just slimy in my opinion and if their platform isn't even better/more convenient to use than steam and when steam already has a loyal fanbase i dont see the point

There’s no other way to try and make up market share with Valve’s large monopoly; If they don’t do exclusives then Valve demand price parity for games on other platforms meaning you get 0 benefit from buying on Epic when your games are currently on Steam.

Please go to the MCC thread and complain about the games not being on Epic Store because you must hate that too if you’re against this game on Epic Store and Windows Store but not Steam since that’s the exact same thing but Steam get a free pass for no reason. Outdated platform that’s taken a fucking decade for a UI update.

idk bro what features does the epic game store have that are better than steam, to pull me towards it? tell me and i will gladly make the switch if somehow epic games store is better than steam - if you're gonna talk about 'features to be added' then i'm not interested at the moment, it's either better than steam on release or it doesn't matter to me until it ends up being better, i'm not here to follow its progress - workshop, cloud, offline, good profile integration, all that jazz. your comparison is like wondering why don't all pc gamers move to linux instead of windows but people are accustomed to windows and linux is still lacking in some regards compared to windows

if this changes in time and their store somehow outperforms steam in terms of features then maybe i'll give them a shot

Honestly as long as I have the option to turn off autolaunch when my PC is on it’s not that bad. Just turn it on when you are going to use if ever. Like uPlay and Origin I only use when I want to play their game.

Just add the game as a non-steam game. Problem solved. Sorry but please stop complaining about Epic because I've been waiting too long for someone to say something cool about this game >:/

in the end i hope itll still be an enjoyable experience. the fact that its on a different program wont ruin it for me as long as i can still play it.

speaking of which, have they confirmed an exact date for the game yet, or do they still just say its in 2019 (for Epic Games/Windows) and 2020 (for steam)?

I can’t imagine it’ll use any of the features on any store platform given that it’s a singleplayer experience so there’s really nothing that can ruin your experience
