Probably possible. Been keeping an eye on it since 2014 so it's not really something we're interested in so.. likely not.

Oh well, a man can dream. I doubt source will get updated for more maps anytime soon so I guess it's just work with what you got. I'm pretty content overall with gmod still, so i'm not too worried.

I see. Would it be possible then to build a roleplay schema there? I'm curious on if there will ever be a migration of nebulous to S&box (if the server ever lives that long and the infrastructure is there).

it’s not looking too good atm because the content creation tools that they’ve developed are super limited and you’re restricted in that you can’t use anything else. there hasn’t been an official devblog for ages and the only updates they made were on their discord but it was recently deleted because garry got annoyed

new language to work with too so it’s unfamiliar territory for the devs here, it could work out and be g but only time will tell. hl2rp on UE4 is fucking epic but i think a lot of people will be done with it by time the game rolls around

as cool as a fuckin 512 player hl2rp server would be, it is a really niche market. like absurdly niche. like i don't think there's more than 200 active hl2rp players.

I'd love to see normal HL2RP where people have an approach like @PilotBland to their characters
Y'know, maybe like a whitelisted thing? An environment where you don't need PK auths but people don't act like homicidal maniacs on every other character

we are the only big hl2rp server apart from undetermined gaming that gets like 40-50 at absolute max. it’s 2019, shits getting old, people are burnt out

I agree with the whitelist thing. That way no minges will join and people that want to be serious and play can just apply to join.

I don't see why many people dislike this idea. I've seen people be mad at whitelisted servers having whitelist, but that just makes it safer.

I'm not sure about whitelists to be honest, with such a small community, condensing it down even MORE could make it so we have like... 20 people on max at a time. If it was the glory days? Sure, but I don't see it now. Who knows, maybe there will be a resurgence.... Somehow.

we’re barely getting any new players dude, the amount of forum accounts signing up in 2019 is fuck all compared to what we had - if we had a whitelisted community there wouldn’t be much difference tbh

you could say that it isn’t sustainable but the players joining just dick around and don’t even end up buying premium 80% of the time
