o maidens in your savage season had like such a satisfying ending which says a whole lot considering most animes end inconclusively after 12 episodes and just say "fuck you read the manga" to get a satisfying ending

It's a good ending though obviously they plan to release more if allowed, I'll read the manga regardless, it's a really good piece of work.

You can notice how they presented Momo's situation in this anime regarding Japanese society standards. While nobody actually insults her or whatever for her preferences, whenever she asks her friends they mostly reply with a "well it's okay to love as friends" or "I'd choose the man over you since that's how it goes even if you're my best friend" and stuff like that as to avoid the topic entirely or simply apply the education they've received. It's only at the very end of the series when they're at the school that, through discussion and such with Sugawara, Momo is confirmed that, obviously, being bi or lesbian is not an issue at all and she's free to love whoever she wants regardless of gender.

The anime does not only focus on the "beauty of youth", but it really shows a lot how the Japanese society sees and develops these relationships and evolution of characters, and how they struggle to find their ways, likes and dislikes. This story reflects a reality for all of the teenagers, as you can see some have it easier and some have it rougher, it's not a full-on drama in spite of having some counters towards the characters. People will dismiss it as it's "just an anime" but in reality it's a really, really good insight into how Japanese people explore their world at their teens.

Yep, i noticed it aswell. To the others it was virtually impossible to imagine that someone could have different preferences, like when Kazusa and Momo talk on the riverbank. I like shows with both deeper themes that are at the same time able to be taken lightheartedly

Thank you for showing me this masterpiece @dallahan

I am currently midway through Your Lie In April, thanks to @Señor Jaggles, another beautiful show. It has gotten a few tears out of me so far, although not as much as Violet Evergarden.

Second episode of F/GO Babylonia, on 1080p and good quality

The animation, despite being Cloverwork's and not Ufotable's, is WONDERFUL

The battles are mmmmmwah

Also seen the first episode of SAO 3 part 2, not bad tbf

Honestly let's just share our MALs and roast our shit tastes

Here's mine

https://myanimelist.net/animelist/jcrvf?status=7&order=4&order2=0

Ordered by score

Once you reach the score 7, it means I found it a bit meh, that I liked the story but disliked some parts (for instance, fanservice) or that the anime is trash anime but I had fun and laughs watching it.

Below 7 comes the real garbage. Meaning that anything that I truly liked and enjoyed stands from 8 to 10.
