It did though, Cole was haunted by his time during the war and he was killed off whilst facing what the war brought back to the city. He died in peace from what he hated and fought with for the majority of the game. One good to end the terribles in his life time.

Spoiler: Thoughts

Honestly, I think this is one of those scenes where ya don't need to add too much to it.

-I like the use of emptiness tbh. I only put the destroyed cars there because it made some sense, but it wouldn't have made that much sense for a single rebel to be holding several tonnes of weapons/ammo where he's standing.

-It has a clear theme. Guerrilla warfare. You can clearly see the main dude's outnumbered, but because the camera angle is pointing downwards on the Combine, and the character's mostly obscured, you feel that he's the one in control of the situation.

-It's not a fucking concept showcase. It actually has a story, and you can easily make up stories or imagine what's about to happen next.

-It has multiple subjects, as Cuntcake said, having a single subject makes it easy to spot mistakes.

-The guy's actually holding a gun in his hands, but you can't see any of it lol, wasted time for me.

-The lights were dodgy as fuck until I photoshopped them a bit.

-The lighting on the rebel is fucking sexy.

-The gun on the floor was removed because it just looked dumb.
