what'd you think I do usually? I try to avoid hypertrophy as much as possible and work towards getting strong around my current bodyweight (75 kg, 178 cm).

different strokes for different folks ;)

im pretty happy with my current physique, some parts could maybe get some more definition more quickly but it's nothing that won't come over the coming few months

sacrificed aesthetics for strength good on you mayne

I do a bit of both, 4 weeks strength then 1 or 2 weeks hypertrophy then repeat

not like I'm giving up a lot of aesthetics, I'm fairly content with the way my body looks right now

chest up and use a little big of legs to get the bar up, chest throws some upper pec into the lift and the legs help boost it up

OHP standards(kg) for guys aged 18-23

are you counting the weight of the bar too?

is mixed grip a socially acceptable deadlift technique
yes

anyhow, it's not worth missing out on sick back and leg gains by keeping the weight down even if it wasn't acceptable. its only frowned upon with powerlifters/strongman because you're not allowed a mixed grip during comp

only downside to mixed grip is a possible muscle imbalance in the forearms and a higher(but still low) risk of a bicep tear
