It used to be everyone vs zombies but they decided to make it so you could only turn yourself into a zombie.
So instead of the cool zombie survival element, it just became another gimmick for wardens v colonials

This game is nice. Since I have no friends at all, I tend to grab a regular rifle and go all rambo on the enemy

The real fun is fucking with their logistics on your own

someone call the based department for the winter update

in the update that drops in 2 weeks there will be weather, regiments, a new temperature system, no man's land updates, and more stuff like artillery updates, new tanks, etc.

We'll see stuff like trucks and tanks breaking down, rivers freezing, rain turning dirt into mud, no man's land slowly progressing, etc. Here are some screenshots.

There is a massive campaign map with one server per region I believe, unless I'm mistaken.

i keep wanting to get into this, especially because of @Mendel but everytime i launch it and try to give it a shot im lost af
when i do manage to get my bearing im just constantly dying and running back to the frontline, feels like im missing out on the typical gameplay experience

Honestly what you can do is choose a play style. You can switch mid through but what you could do is find the frontline and dedicate yourself to a role, you could be a normal infantry man destined to die, you could pick up a medkit and trauma kit to be a combat medic, you can pick up AT and dedicate to killing tanks or you could be an engineer and fortify frontlines.

after you familiarize a bit in the frontline you can try the backlines and do some logistic, gather resources, create things and bring em in the frontlines. Don’t like doing logi runs? Build yourself an ambulance and pick up dead bodies in the frontlines. Or partner up with a buddy and make a tank or some artillerry!

You can also be a partisan and sneak in enemy lines to damage supply lines, you have a lot of choices.

And it is 10 times better if you keep voice chat on and talk to people, you can even talk to the enemy if you are close enough!
