In any case, I remain of the idea of making a test run for a couple of weeks with a schematic CyberpunkRP: bare minimum addons to work, everything that requires too much coding being made icly and generous whitelists, just to see if it could work. If it does, then we can talk about making it an actual server, if it doesn't then fine we'll think about something else, making suppositions based on past servers with different enviroments and staff seems a bit sketchy.

I feel like this bears the risk of being filled with unserious characters, minging and rule-skirting dickery all under the pretense of
"lol why so mad, it's just temporary thing lololo no need to serious ehe ecks dee stop tryharding
I love RP
Ruin
Potential"

Same happens when a server is reaching its closure. See the ending hours of HL2RP on Lemonpunch and how things fell down with the closure event of WW3RP here.

It would be less risky that spending months developing a schema only for having it fail after a couple of days, I looking at you EURP

Fallout 2 New Reno, gangs, drug trade, law enforced by loan shark protection policies and vigilantes.

No Enclave involvement, caravans running supplies, NCR exclusively for trade and events. Back when a deathclaw could kill anything and caravans dissappeared in the middle of the night. Risk-filled expeditions for supplies with random encounters based on rolls for caravans.

Casinos, gambling, underhanded deals, rigged games. truth is;

I think something @Chester was doing with FTRP where there was a second server for TTT and stuff on certain game nights (can't remember if it was successful or if it even happened) but I think a server with a gamemode that changes every week (TTT, prophunt, murder etc.) would be cool.

Said separate community lasted, what, two months before everything was shut down? They tried to do something called "Frundtech Cinematic Universe", which would've been short-term events played out in different settings on a Gmod server. However, the whole place died soon after the FTRP server was shut down, as far as I remember. It was honestly quite a mess; unserious, 'locker room talk' jockfest atmosphere where peer pressure was rampant.

Highlight of event mutant characters was "Agent Death" or something along those lines: black guy in a CIA suit, with gleaming red eyes and a scythe, whom could apparently teleport. Regular player mutants? Close to nonexistent, apps were left unprocessed in various stages of reviewal - including mine. @Fatality and @LykosNychi can attest to the mutant oddities as well, from application processing troubles to weirdly OP mutant(s) being allowed.

I kind of went past your point, but established another one: FTRP most certainly can't flourish as a separate entity. I think this incient just hammers down another nail in the coffin of FTRP never returning.

ftrp died because certain gamers threw a big hissy fit when their characters died

resulting in the staff going "fuck that"

the agent death guy got booted as soon as chester heard and the rest is history

a TTT server, a rust server; just a casual second server is what id love, tbh

i usually play other games with people ive roleplayed a lot with anyways, so a casual server to just dick around on would be neat

FTRP actually did quite well under Chester. You know what really brought it down? Certain players who felt like they were protagonists who continuously bended the server rules to their will.

People enjoyed it, and the people who did ruin it are either banned from this community or are members of it currently

Funny that

Instead of a serious RP server, why not branch onto different games.
Like @Evil said, let's try be something more than just a RP community.
Garry's Mod RP schematics are starting to get boring

talked about an official arma 3 server with some of the fellas but its sadly not possible as much as many of us would like it due to Bohemia Interactive's dumb server monetization policy

Could I ask, what stops us from setting up an Arma 3 server with the monetization policy? I'm reading these:

  • Charging players to access your server, if the fees and associated perks do not affect gameplay in any way, is allowed. Cosmetic perks are allowed. Limiting access to only paying players is allowed.
  • Product placement, in-game advertising and sponsorship is allowed.
  • Selling of in-game items, that don’t affect gameplay, is allowed.
  • Accepting donations is allowed, but to avoid any doubts: not providing donations must not prevent anyone from accessing the content

Unless I'm retarded and reading this incorrectly, it doesn't seem bad?
