first ever 'nam scenebuild. think it turned out alright except for two glaring issues I realized too late; bodies in the helicopter should have been charred & 2 polygon palm tree upclose really be ruining this shot.
Art of the Week 27 of 52 (2021)
Started my new 9-5 this week, it's a funny feeling - and the lack of spare time is scary but I'll keep tryin to get here on time
The image is a bit MASSIVE but the content of the image is actually super cool and nice. The shading especially is something to look at in depth. However, I do think maybe the light could've been angled better to see some of the face in light a bit instead of being totally covered in shadow y'know? Like if its the one thing to look at, why not give it most of the spotlight? Aside from that, the pose and outline is great. Looks awesome great job
Unsure if this is a screenshot or just the map that comes with S2FM, regardless though the lighting and the composition of everything involved is just great. Can't think of much else to add, maybe some litter on the streets for that run down feeling but its already pretty great. Hope to see some more work with S2FM or screenshots in the future!
Very impressive and cool image, the lighting is just great and the little shines on the uniforms gives off that wet ambient look which is pretty hard to nail down without major post editing. There's a great spacing between content in the image that I especially like. Like how each piece of stuff has its own portion of the image while also filling the whole scene with meaningful presence. Like you can cut out different parts of the patrol for small images which I like. I may have added some emerging pavements, or maybe some hidden details like someone on one of the roofs, maybe a bird or something flying overhead. Great work here!
Deffo some better lighting here this time, it's good to get the crisp edges on the rifle and such. I think the lighting you've got behind for the 'sky' is actually quite cool, I may have given it some blur/depth of field to kinda counter it perhaps but its still great. Maybe a slightly wider image with some other soldiers would be cool too! Sometimes I start with a portrait of one person, and build on top of that - hope thats inspiring in some way. Coolio
This is a jampacked image here, like there's enough going on to make a meaningful scene and not much room to add anything else. The lighting and colours seem so real and flashy and cool. I get what you mean with the palm trees though - I say it a lot and I'll say it again, depth of field is perfect for this sort of thing if it does bug you but at the same time I think it all looks great. A great little detail are the leaves falling down on the left side - looks great. Can't fault you on much or anything here this time Viper :^)
