[SUGGESTION] Space Station 13 Server

Oi, even though I'm not a veteran in SS13, I still really enjoy the game because of how unique this game is and how fun it's to play with friends, and would like for Nebulous to host a SS13 server even if it's for the weekends.

For those who don't know what SS13 is, Here's a "Quick" summary from the official SS13 site:

"Space Station 13 is a community developed, multiplayer round-based role playing game, where players assume the role of a crewmember on a space station. Together they must keep the station running smoothly, whilst dealing with antagonistic forces who threaten to sabotage the mission.

At the beginning of each round, players select a crew member role on the station. These range from high up positions like the captain and heads of staff, to engineers, scientists, medical doctors, security officers, all the way down to the lower responsibility roles such as the janitor and lowly assistant. At round start, one or more players will be given an antagonistic role at random, and a secret objective that’s very likely to cause disruption to the mission at hand.

When the crew aren’t turning on each other through sheer paranoia, they will face various dangers depending on the round: Sleeper agents hell bent on sabotage, shape-shifting aliens, RPG toting syndicate operatives and more. Not to mention the occupational hazards of working in space, such as decompression, meteor showers, radiation storms, airlock mishaps, rogue AI and catastrophic engine failure."

we haven't even got the first server up yet, we need to wait.
but it's a nice idea for the future.

I have actually never heard of space station 13 before but it does sound like a really fun game. Would definitely try it out if we ever got one going.

As some people already said, we barely have... what, 200 members now? Maybe even less? I'd say that, while new server ideas are appreciated, keep them on the backburner for the time being. Once the community reaches, say, 1.000 members, we could start thinking on a third server. Then again, personal opinion. If the staff gives the green light, go nuts.

SS13 is hard at first but once you learn it (hopefully with someone teaching you) it's fucking amazing

learning it by yourself=death though

Its not like you need 60 players to be on that server, around 20 would be enough for people to see that there is a new server. They will join and enjoy the roleplay.

I wasn't suggesting this as a outright full blown third server, but just as a server we could host for light Rp and fun times.

SS13 dosen't requier much moderation at all and could be played with 20-30 players.

for you ss13 peeps here looking to improve, play some colonial space marines for combat/engineering/medical. It's a good spot to learn. Most of the time if I play now I'm the chef cooking all the goodies.<--- Welcome to flavor town. Brain cake up on the table.

Eh don't jump into this so quickly. We would need a base code to go off of, I know of some open source codes, but need good ss13 coders to support the game. We also need to garner a good amount of players. However, considering most ss13s have horrible forums and unorganized leadership, beating everyone in that aspect would not be hard.

haven't played the game since like 2013, when I see you guys talking about it and having fun it gives me nostalgia and shit. might start playing it again

If you guys host a ss13 server I can do some developing.
same here, worked quite a lot with DM back in the day

May I offer you in a clown mask on some buns and blood as ketchup? Quality clown blood. And in regards to server hosting, that won't be a concern given a box we could use. But before getting ahead, some coordination will have to be done to start a base for this. Honestly, using Paradise code be nice cause it's open source afaik and its most familiar.
