And to be honest everyone in my school's made a holocaust joke, and a 9/11 joke, and a couple of Madeleine Mccann jokes. No one really gets offended where I live.

And way before that same thing has been done to them for different reasons, making them paranoid, and so on. Doesn't matter, there is no "Guilty religion". Like I said, this buggery has existed ever since religion itself. People don't welcome the unknown. And it doesn't matter how peaceful your religion may be, you're not going to accept "The others". It's actually not even a thing about religion, it could be just a different group of people. "They live over there and hunt animals on our side, we must show them!"
