Sharia law is not a uniform set of religious laws, guys. It's not Canon law for Christians, or whatever it is for Jews. It's fairly flexible and differs based on where you go.

I cant read 10 pages of comments however I am really happy that someone made this thread.
I am a Muslim living Israel and to be specific I am what you call a 48' arab and for those of you who don't know what that means ill explain briefly:
In 1948 after the second world war and the British colonizing Palestine the British gave the Jews Palestine as a country to live in after the holocaust.
After the jews discussed the possibility of living in Palestine with the rest peacefully with having a small amount land for themselves , the Palestinians disagreed and there happend wars and a long story in in 1948 Israel was officially announced.
After long rebellions the arabs gave up and instead of fighting they agreed to live in Israel with Israeli IDs and here I am one of those living peacefully in Israel as an Israeli but arab in my ID.

Anyway as a Muslim I am obliged to answer all questions related to my religion and I've already been asked about it in teamspeak numerous times.
As the subject of this thread is religious terrorisim I am assuming you are talking about Islam since the 9/11 accident spread bad reputation to a whole religion through an act of a group of people, I will not discuss anything related to that horrible incident however.
Ever since that incident Muslims were called terrorists and would be treated differently in many places including Airports where you have to go through intensive search because your a muslim and you might be carrying explosives around you.

To this point I would like to add that Islam is a peaceful religion that was stained by the hands of a few and those people who did that spread this all around the world , since Islam isn't in the mainstream media in europe everybody would think 'hey you a muslim? oh your a terrorist then'
No , just no.
Muslim does NOT mean terrorist and I would like to clarify that by saying that anyone could wear a mask and call himself a Muslim and kill people.

TL: DR : Muslims are not terrorist , Religions are meant to be peaceful and Islam is a peaceful religion that despises and forbids violence and bloodshed and in our Quran you cant force someone to convert to islam it must come from the person himself , you however may guide him.

I think there's also an evolutionary issue at play here. The west has meddled way too much into middle eastern affairs, promoting Saudi Arabia which is a massive exporter of extremist ideology, the continued unwavering support of Israel, the repeated bombings and invasions, the meddling on part of the USSR, us fucking with Iran, Trump just starting shit, so on so on.

Right now they're going through a rough patch that many religions or even countries do. Islam is basically Christianity's more extreme little brother. Crusades aside, Christianity wasn't pretty at one point, they shit on all the Jews and Muslims in the Iberian peninsula, Christianity is at fault for the raping and pillaging of the natives of Latin America, so on so on.

The issue is that it doesn't seem Islam will make the leap that Christianity made, at least not for a long time. Regarding the Iberian Peninsula case, we were kinda just... defending ourselves after being invaded by Muslims. God Bless the reconquest.

I cannot convince you with my current mindset to convert to islam or atleast convince you that Muslims aren't terrorists but if you are really interseted you can always watch youtube debates of muslims vs christians or whatever.
My English is not sufficiently developed to do such a thing.

E: If I may add , if you are a christian for example and some group of people wear masks and call themselves Christians and kill people because they refuse to convert and therefore called terrorists and calling it a terrorists religion.

Not sexist though since female literally have more rights than males in islam.

With that said, regarding refugees... I am more then welcoming to refugees, however if someone of a different culture enters my culture, they are expected to abide by the laws in place in my country. If they have issues, they can leave.
I don't want my country to adapt to refugees in it's core elements, but it is obvious that Humanity has evolved by assimilation of the 'positive' aspects of culture clash.
