you don’t have to be a dick.
Legit how is saying "What happened to the quality of that image, has it been compresed" being a dick

Do you two not understand how compression of an image works?

I’m not trying to start anything here, but you seem to go around and shit on people’s images because it doesn’t meet your standards. Just let @Lemon Cuntcake do the judging.

Both of you are wrong here. Initially, @Piggo didn't say anything bad, he just pointed something out in a non-threating way. However, it was just useless to suddenly rate everyone that didn't like his response as 'dumb'. Really guys, you're better than this

Whats wrong with giving criticism and advice

Pointing out compression of an image isn't "shitting on it"
[doublepost=1525949256][/doublepost]Rating you guys dumb yeah i'll agree that was childish but i genuinly don't understand how saying "compression looks bad" is in anyway being a dick

legit just upload images to wduwant or imgur when using an imgur account it'll be a lossless upload

I'd appreciate your criticism if you hadn't been such a cunt to me in the past and harassed me. You may have valid points but I can't stand your personality and the negativity you put off that has caused me to lessen my work.

1. The image was rendered straight from SFM under the PNG format. Therefore your JPEG example means nothing.
2. The image was uploaded through imgur.
3. I'd rather have feedback and criticism from @Lemon Cuntcake who is respectable and honest while also being the judge of this fun competition. Unlike you Lemon seems to actually encourage artists who are still developing.

criticizing art =/= being a dick

but normally youre supposed to give suggestions on how to improve
It's also how you criticise the person. You can't just be like "You're lighting fucking sucks dickface." That's obviously extreme, but you get the jist.

this doesn't relate to anyone

DoF looks a bit off, maybe it's just me.

definitely off

the crow is the most in focus thing from what i can tell

it is very off putting from an otherwise good looking atmospheric piece

I can never get it right/it never works no matter if I'm using super dof, standard dof, bokeh dof or unreal dof, its a pain in the fucking ass

yeah, I did notice that but I couldn't tweak it out in settings

i should probably try to get the hang of sfm honestly - I'm sick of crashing mid scenebuild when loading prop thumbnails in and having to deal with autistic prop lighting and no collide.

i don't like the way this turned out

okay i got some criticism for ya hope ur ready

The picture doesn't make any thematic sense in my mind. When I see large sand dunes like this, I usually think a desert or a beach. The semi submerged cars really give off a kinda Spec Ops: The Line vibe and actually looks pretty cool, especially with the crow, but it doesn't gel well with the background, which appears to be a flat, gray cliff next to some unidentified building surrounded by a fence. The signs dont really make sense either, you got road signs in the completely wrong orientation if you consider the way the cars are facing, and the ''No Entry'' sign wouldn't really find it's way next to road signs like this, as well as seemingly randomly scattered bushes and stuff. I'd look better (to me at least) if it was a much more destroyed urban environment in the background or a more vast and empty desert, but those are just my two cents.

Note: All of this is assuming that this is a scene build and not a map, in which case rip

Other than that the lighting and posing is really cool and definitely gives off cool vibes

Hopefully this isn't something you've already figured out but do you turn off AO whilst posing?
I was silly enough to not do that and it really really speeds up everything.
