I think this event has really shown that there are two different breed of admin:
Enforcers
Enforcers are the primary, respectsd type of admin on the server. They help make sure everything OOC is running smoothly by dealing with rulebreakers, looking for cheaters, reading logs, verifying roleplay is acceptable, etc. When you think Enforcer, think
@James. Man never touched a roleplay in his career but was a fantastic admin.
Roleplay Coordinators
Seen as a lower tier of admin, these folk administrate purely for the chance to create interesting events, provide roleplay for different factions, and advance the lore of the server. This pedigree of admin is seen as less official and trustworthy, likely due to their freer, more creative minds. There are half a dozen people who shouldn't be let within a dozen kilometres of the Enforcer permissions, but are right at home coordinating roleplay. Think
@cns,
@dee pixel or @slim. These boys can only achieve orgasm through a successfully coordinated roleplay event, at this stage
I think this difference was very obvious on Frundtech.
Both roles are extremely necessary for the pulling off of a good event, and should be seen as equals, and coordinators as more official ranks. I would like to see more roleplay coordinators on the main server, too. I would also like this role to be a tag on the forums, as some of these lads well deserve it (
@Dallas,
@Zak at this stage, and more)
