I have to say, I genuinely got outsmarted for once on my Board character.

I brought a random denizen (guy dwelling outside the walls) in just to soften him up for intel, and after a huge tour and advice, ended up giving him a 'consulting' role.

Hats off to the guy.

i had to dip out unexpectedly because of some irl shit that cropped up, but the gist of it was SUPPOSED to be more ammo, weapons, and medical supplies for cops because they don't have them in the vendors and have no easy way of being resupplied

was designed as a "go out and risk some health and armor damage and maybe even one of you dies to antlions" thing, but again because i had to dip out, i did the best i could to compensate by passing it off to baker, which was the real root cause of the miscommunications and shit

We have medical and ammo supplies in our vendors, the only thing that isn't on the list is Weapons, although I think Proselytes have all three(?). I really didn't know what to do with the stuff once we got it because I was sort of confused so I handed the medical supply kits over to union medical because I thought that was for them given they've only got a very limited amount of stuff and I was told they only managed to stockpile Anti-biotics, never the less I enjoyed the brief trip out of the Depot for once on my cop.

I think this event has really shown that there are two different breed of admin:

Enforcers

Enforcers are the primary, respectsd type of admin on the server. They help make sure everything OOC is running smoothly by dealing with rulebreakers, looking for cheaters, reading logs, verifying roleplay is acceptable, etc. When you think Enforcer, think @James. Man never touched a roleplay in his career but was a fantastic admin.

Roleplay Coordinators

Seen as a lower tier of admin, these folk administrate purely for the chance to create interesting events, provide roleplay for different factions, and advance the lore of the server. This pedigree of admin is seen as less official and trustworthy, likely due to their freer, more creative minds. There are half a dozen people who shouldn't be let within a dozen kilometres of the Enforcer permissions, but are right at home coordinating roleplay. Think @cns, @dee pixel or @slim. These boys can only achieve orgasm through a successfully coordinated roleplay event, at this stage

I think this difference was very obvious on Frundtech.

Both roles are extremely necessary for the pulling off of a good event, and should be seen as equals, and coordinators as more official ranks. I would like to see more roleplay coordinators on the main server, too. I would also like this role to be a tag on the forums, as some of these lads well deserve it (@Dallas, @Zak at this stage, and more)

Proselytes don’t have weapons in vendors and we bring every gun from a downed proselyte back to the armory. I told and recommended cops to if a cop gets killed to bring the guns in but they just go “nah” and punch the bitch lol

I have still seen a few people from the union shooting script weapons when it wasn't necessary

I'm sad that a bunch of vortigaunts don't use antlions as a distraction and snip cops and prossies from afar when we're on the pipelines. :(

Day 1 was slow, day 2 was le epic, day 3 was okay

but as days go on people run out of things to do, REBEL SIDE the events seem more fetch questy and draining for minimal rewards event wise (blackquill's imposing ban on all ammo from one event where PREDOMINANTLY people spend a fuckton of ammo.

rebels seem pretty comfortable in the cave and not doing much which is... fine? but these events don't give enough ic incentive to go out and do shit, since ooc rewards got smacked

i hate the fact that every time human nature, aka profit is mentioned as a possible circumstance of doing an event people SHIT ON IT.

"hey why isn't your rebel just doing the good for the sake of doing good" "why is your rebel not doing shit for one wood scrasp and an MRE??"

i wish the event was more fun

also, please tone down NPCs to events

make it like it's a breeding season or some shit, it's a great map and i know the intention is to make the wastes inhospitable but it's a rp server, not me left clicking at npcs or sprinting about to avoid them. i want to have player + player interactions where we can rp actually exploring the joint and not this bullshit, or dealing with anomalies of this Ukrainian desert

also can it be china and not ukraine it makes no sense to be ukraine

this isn't for my current situation but more so events, and in down time as people don't wanna fight antlions in the downtime but explore

Can you blame people for getting PTSD flashbacks to CW-tier mentalities of nothing being done because everyone expected some epic pay instead of the RP involved?

People shit on it because if the only reason you do stuff is for a big tangible reward it becomes really difficult to do things as an event maker.

yes i can expect when an events intention is for actual passive and has an amazing storyline

but subpar missions that are dime a dozen should merit a reward, the generic fetch quests and ones that are expending gear that's... that merits reward. especially since stuff isn't made out of thin air. it's not bought anymore, rewards are necessary for conventional rebels who want to progress
