Started off with a mission to help a husband kill his wives murderer
Murderer was being escorted by cops, husband tries to dome him, cop blasts him
Turns out this guy killed more than just one girl, and one of his victims sisters got in touch with him whilst he was in prison (for 15 years), leading the guy to do a complete 180 and seek out god, rare for night city apparently. Sister basically forgives him, mother doesn't.
Guy was being escorted by a Corp who works for a brain dance company, they want to get his willing death (he believes it to be a redemption) on brain dance to sell off which will make billions cause of his loyalty and stride for god or something. Corpo realises he's becoming unwilling cause of me, and wants me to cut it out.
Say nah, we go to a cheesecake place instead (Which got bought up by having 7 cool after ignoring the guys mental break down in the back of the van). Girl gets annoyed, we depart
Get a call from her a bit later, that the prisoner is starting to be unwilling and needs my help. I get sent to the studio, where a protest is outside against the brutality of using his death for a brain dance.
Massive studio
I meet him in his changing room, talk to him, make honestly hardest decision of gaming for at least a couple years and get him to go through with it, but not in the way the Corps want, to die in pride
He asks me to pray with him, I do.
He asks me to do it. I do.
He asks for me to do a speech as I nail him to the cross, and he does one back. I stay with him until he passes.
Honestly, great side mission, super surreal, favourite one so far. Diverted expectations, thought the murderer was a loonie at first who would kill someone the moment he left my sight. I hated him at first but within 20 minutes I slowly opened up and sentencing him to his death was incredibly hard for me to do so, I regret doing it, I wish he was still running around, but god damn I loved the mission.
