It's implied they have six months, but are still looking for a solution. The job you do for Mr. blue eyes in space is supposedly done in order for them to survive. Paraphrasing Mr. Blue eyes 'for slightest chance of surviving'. With the nomads you're going to hit up contacts, though I wouldn't get my hopes up. Then again they did get into Arasaka tower so... Who knows.
he means you have a slight chance of surviving that specific job, it's a casino heist. the v is a legend endings are super self-destructive, there's even a dialogue option where you can tell delamain "i'll die" as if you're content with it in regards to the next job. you've got your best chances with panam ending for sure.

Must say the game felt like quite a journey from start to finish

Glad I didn't rush through it and took my time with it

I got my money's worth for sure, no regrets

So I went along with it, it kept getting stranger but since Johnny was egging me on I was like, why not.
When it finally came to the execution, I was so frustrated about being unable to do anything.
I couldn't draw weapons. I couldn't stop it. I was powerless to do anything.
I felt like I had lost all agency.

I replayed it a bunch of times, even walked away from the quest once but got a text from the Producer that "she understood and I'd still get paid." I couldn't tell if Johnny approved or not, even as he stood there. I tried to nail him to the cross, I pussied out and let someone else do it. I tried everything I could to stop it.

Thankfully I got the call later that I'd planted doubt in this mind and fucked up the entire recording, which made me feel better, despite not being able to kill the bitch.

Supposedly there's a way to stop him.

Not sure how though

^ If anyone knows how, I'd love to know for my second playthrough when the fixes & dlc inevitably hits.

Corpo ending was horrible

Corpo ending is the ending you take knowing full well you're playing a character who's corpo until the end, sort of like my current build.

Sure, I figure they feel intensely betrayed by the system and by Arasaka, but at the end of the day they knew it was a cut-throat world from the beginning; from the second they entered that life. It rounds back to the Arasaka choice which is unsatisfactory because I, personally, think it was intended for the less-genuine types of characters - like my current one.

Can't really fault them for giving options that tailor to a specific type of character, if nothing else.

That being said;

I felt a little cheated that no matter what you chose, you're going to die - even if is an open ending.

Concur 100%.

Who knows.

I have a theory that - maybe with their DLC plans, which are going to be identical to how they did The Witcher which they themselves admitted - they may offer up free DLC eventually that allows certain endings to be continued, like those you've mentioned. The reason they may do it this way could tie into the very abrupt launch; maybe they didn't have time to finish it, so they opted to leave it to a later DLC so it could be finished properly; if so, I'm glad they did it. Or, they could just be doing it that way to extend the longevity of the game, which is also acceptable in my mind.

The game being the way it is has incentivised me to go back and play a new character, so I see the psychology behind it.

Nothing really matters if you go blades build. Twar convinced me to play on very hard, still one shot the mechs with mantis blades.
Blades build with katana is even more broken due to the upgradability. Not to mention the lifesteal that makes you practically immortal, plus a couple of mods that can practically revive you should you get nuked.

Blades spec is basically guaranteed crit every time, mechs usually have like 10k health? You can get mods that do 8k to enemies that attack you. The game is laughably easy if you mod & spec yourself proper.

If you try-hard with armor that has mod slots rather than going for looks, get an upgradable katana you can easily do 20k+ per hit.

honestly adam smasher never fails to intimidate

then when you’re with jackie (RIP) between the wall when mr arasaka gets killed, he’s just...standing there. staring

i was shitting it because i was almost certain he was looking straight at us and was about to just fucking murder us there and then he just left

maybe he did see us but just didn’t give enough of a shit to do anything about it

Smasher was entirely under utilized imho. If you do any considerable amount of side-missions you basically have to intentionally gimp yourself for him to pose any threat.

Legit at this point the most dangerous thing in the entire game is some red canister with a “explosive” warning slapped on it that I somehow always seem to forget exists

Until then I just died a lot due to swinging my mantis blades like a retard.
Or cars blowing up near me from npcs trying to shoot me.
