Two more images.
Reckon where the combine gates are, I'll actually open that up a bit as an extension to the street, which would form the last serious chunk of horizontal expansion to the map.
Outside of that, we go vertical, likely by one more legally accessible layer up. and a legally questionable layer down.

Any more additions to the space that increase the horizontal size would likely just be smaller paths to grant a bit of privacy, or connect up and down again.

Single street gang?
Or, two overlapping streets gang. I guess.

not like the answer of “verticality is epic!!!” whilst ignoring the downsides if done wrong

Out of curiosity, what makes you pick that one out of the two?
The giant slope doesn't feel like a 'natural' man-made feature.

Plus the small building next to the dumpster helps break the surrounding up and make it feel more detailed.

The AAA stuff is bloody amazing to be a part of, but I find more joy mapping around here.

Entrance to ration distribution replaces the open gap down to the underpass, the drop still exists, but is smaller and split into two

The two gaps to jump down have trade offs, one side just goes to the ground, but risks fall damage, second is safely into a dumpster, but takes time to climb out.

And one of the buildings on the hub road was changed out, creates a better loop on the overpass.

Time for a non-Source posting.
New update details were announced for Gears 5, and some of my work's hiding in there.

As part of the free-for-all update, One of my FFA maps are in the first three launch maps for the mode, mine is Pit.
PIT
This mining excavation frozen in time features huge slides that funnel combat into a dangerous central pit. Venture into the depths of the Pit to be rewarded with the best weapon pickups – if you can survive.

And I also had a hand in the new Versus map, AllFathers Arena

I didn't design this fella unfortunately, but I gave myself a few headaches polishing this map and being the all seeing eye that made sure artists didn't break the map, and then complained when they occasionally did, before helping them fix it.

That's all, back to Source maps next time.

One other thing I'll be trying, small power room near the storerooms. Open a breaker and shut it off will cut the power to the two stores.
Cops should biolock this door for obvious reasons, but there is a vent, so they can get in regardless, just going to be a lot harder.

Got to try out a few things I normally don't touch because of RP maps, such as NPC assaults, emplacement turrets, alongside effects like explosions and smoke screens.
Was a good bit of fun.

Gotta tell ya, that smoke effect must work on RNG.
Sometimes it'd turn on, other times it'd not, and ruin the assault on you.

Took me like 5 recordings to get it right without dying

I know you more then like a year ago, but it would be cool to see more maps with a more fleshed out either outdoors canal area like opening area of HL2 canals or the man canal area. Like similar.
