there are passworded channels, you just have to be authorised to join IIRC

There is no password iirc.

You have to be given a role that allows access.

You can't join the CP channel without the CP role, etc.

On discord when you ban someone it just bans the device rather than the IP. On teamspeak it and the IP also. On teamspeak you have a cleaner UI. On teamspeak each channel has both a voice and text chat while with discord they are separate. Surlely the money from donations should cover a teamspeak licence

This is not true. Tested this with a friend once and everyone who was on the school IP couldn't gain access to our server.

EDIT: Besides, isn't banning the device (not just the user) the best thing?

It's easy to create new channels, need to find out how many are really needed.

Is there a chance you can do both at once? I think most chat rooms should be attached to voice channels, but I do like a large general chat for the whole discord. Essentially, have 1/2 server-wide text channels, and have the rest attached to voice channels
