Slower long range combat is also how most firefights work in real warzones. Seeing how the gamemode emulates this to a certain degree, then I find it quite appropriate. It would also make firefights last longer rather than one sole dude wiping out everyone to show off his gametracker.

It's an overhaul that is worth trying, hypothetically speaking.

Well, we used to have made-up lores if you mean that.

Like, the Soviet Union didn't actually exist past 1990, but we had that in our lore.

I hope it's not NPC based. Having played on a star wars to server prior to neb I can say whole heartedly that npcs are boring as heck to fight against and offer no real challenge. They don't feel like a real enemy either

You certaintly don't mean that the occupation of Denmark by Soviet Union was an actual factual thing, right?

correct me if i'm wrong cns but

he means something completely fictional that didn't happen in the real world that was just made up to have fun

ex. no soviet union, just something completely made up that can be adjusted by the players as it goes

And I think it ultimatly doesn't really matter that much since you can just, like, bend and shape the lore to go any direction regardless.

Good idea, I think if military were constantly there it'd turn into a ftrp "We hAte the miLiTarY" and a weird back and fourth drama, just without mutants.

It was going to be, but thanks to nuclear discouragement the Soviets didn't do it

Both the Soviets and Americans actually wanted to set up nuclear weapons here, the Americans were the only side that asked for permission to do it though. The Soviets were going to do it by force.

Why? If you liked WW3 RP where were you when the playercount was low daily? Where were you when there was supposed to be a final event but nobody could be bothered?

If people wanted it that badly, they'd have played and showed they wanted it when we had it.

i joined but got caught in crossfire while hostage and then got kicked and missed out on most of it

i'm mainly talking about how people scripthunted, didn't s2rp and some prob even avoided rp.

hell, i even avoided s2rp myself but got dinked anyway

(unless we are talking about a different event then idk)
