Not exactly a hard effect to do, mostly just to show im still here.

i very much like the lighting in this and the overall effect. did you take the photo yourself, or is it from the internet?

I got a question, since this thread is technically a competition although I see it more as a place to show creative photos/art, isn't it in theory a bit unbalanced if some got accese to photoshop and other doesn't? I would imagine atleast a couple of people here here got irl jobs making commercials and general graphics which would give them editing tools for free.

"Ah yes, another beautiful day in City thirty-three. Greatest place on our ole' blue planet. Or so some would think. Behind all the lavish gold and white palaces and beaming Combine architecture, lays probably some of the most crime-infested streets and shady figures in the sector. They try to contain itm but shit never works, ya'know? Just way of life down here, can't avoid it."

hi yes this is in fact my job and i get paid pretty well for it, in turn i have quite a few tools to my disposal.

HOWEVER

the tools you use to make art doesn't define how good it is, to say otherwise is just a fallacy. its all about skill. sure photoshop helps but it doesn't dictate how good your shit is.

Well photoshop still makes a diffierence between a rough product and a polished one. Like if we both made a wooden table and in this scenario people with photoshop would have sandpaper to make it more smooth and get rid of the splinters. It does overall give a better impression.

ok heres a good example of tools not being relevant

i made this with a pencil and a piece of paper. i could have used a bunch of ebony pencils and inking and bullshit but that was unneccesary.

to stick to your analogy, if you make your cuts clean and precise, you won't neat to sandpaper down your shit

Yeah but the example doesn't go over too well, since drawing is a skill you obtain over years of practice which is respectable. In this case what you are showing is a rough product, now add a layer of photoshop to make it the most amazing picture and you get my point.
[doublepost=1531365364][/doublepost]Like it is the polishing tools that is my concern.

all im saying is that as long as you make some good shit, you've got as good of a chance as anyone else at taking the top spot
