The French realm has continued to expand under its gracious ruler Charles VIII The Affable. His majesty has codified the great land taille, vastly increasing the wealth of the French Kingdom. Establishing the Ancien Régime and a national army, the Kingdom of France now looks to its only remaining neighbor rival, the Holy Roman Empire. Having successfully invading the Duchy of Savoy in 1510, the armée royale has gained a foothold to expand upon. Setting its eyes upon the final holdings of the Kingdom of Aragon, the Siege of Barcelona is nearing completion as its inhabitants are eager to surrender to French domain. Across the Straits, English hegemony over the island of Brittania. Conquering the Duchy of Cornwall and its surrounding territory, the Kingdom of France will soon increase its borders to include the Duchy of Wales, eliminating its century old rival of England.

The French people have emerged as leaders in the Protestant Reformation, as the Huguenots have managed to establish a majority within the realm. The people are not completely settled yet, as infighting between Catholics and Protestants continue, however their faiths have both been recognized by His Holiness Charles VIII. A thin resolution has been created, but the differences of the French people will perhaps continue to create disunity among religious boundaries.
